Students from Barton Peveril Sixth Form College
Barton Peveril is the UK’s largest Sixth Form College in the UK, with nearly 6,000 students studying a range of A Levels. Specifically, it has the largest Performing Arts Faculty, with nearly 600 students studying courses in Music, Music Technology, Jazz and Popular Music, Musical Theatre, Dance, Drama and Theatre. The College runs a bespoke Conservatoire Preparation Programme for those students committed, or considering, progression to the UK’s premier conservatoires. Last summer a record number of 17 students attained places at the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Royal Welsh Conservatoire of Music & Drama, the Royal Northern College of Music, the Royal Scottish Conservatoire of Music, Trinity Laban, and the Guildhall School of Music, making Barton Peveril the most prominent single ‘provider’ of successful applicants to conservatoires from UK schools and sixth form colleges. The students performing this concert are amongst our next set of candidates for conservatoire education.
