Amici String Ensemble

We once again welcome the popular Amici Early String Ensemble to Perfect Pitch Concerts.

Amici is a group of viol-playing friends who began performing together in public in 2022.
The ensemble’s aim is to share the extensive repertoire of England’s ‘Golden Age’ of
composers for viol consort with today’s music lovers. The complex counterpoint and
expressive harmonic twists of these short pieces remain unsurpassed. The programme to be performed in The Chapel of St Cross will include music by John Coprario and John Dowland, both of whom died 400
years ago.
Amici will be joined by tenor Peter Fellows and lutenist Pat Glynn.
