Freya Wright – French Horn and Piano

Freya began playing the French horn age 10, having played the cornet in the Andover Town Band for 2 years. As a horn player she has been a member of the National Children’s Orchestra, in addition to the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, with whom she has had the opportunity to play abroad as well as locally. While at St Swithun’s School she was a music exhibitioner, where she was a member of various ensembles, ranging from the orchestra and band to chamber ensembles. She currently learns with Simon de Souza.

Freya began learning the piano age 13, and recently achieved a Distinction at Grade 8, under the guidance of Keith Pusey. 

Freya also plays the violin, for which she received a Distinction in her ARSM Diploma in 2025. 

She currently attends Peter Symonds College, where she studies biology, chemistry, maths and German.
