Tom Jesty – Piano and Becky Rea-Chevis – Flute
Becky read music at Jesus College Oxford which fuelled her enduring love of chamber music and fascination with the health and wellbeing benefits that music offers. Upon graduating Becky moved to London as resident assistant director at Pembroke Academy of Music and fell into an exciting freelance career combining community music projects, flute performance, and improvising music for contemporary dance. In 2017 she returned to Gloucestershire where she brings live music to hospital wards, care homes and schools, tutors at Gloucestershire Academy of Music, directs Gloucester Dementia Choir, and gives recitals of chamber and solo flute music.
Tom read music at St Peter’s College Oxford and quickly discovered a love of duo work and chamber music. Since graduating, Tom has worked as a piano teacher and accompanist, completing an accompaniment masters at London’s Guildhall in 2023, after which he served for a year as the graduate fellow in collaborative piano at Royal Holloway. Tom now combines his role as music director of St Mary’s Islington with freelance accompaniment work in London and Winchester.
Beck and Tom struck up a friendship in Oxford’s practice rooms when they were both first year students and have been exploring chamber music together for over a decade.
